Dear Parents and Community Members:
Enclosed you will find our school’s No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Report Card for the 2007-2008 school year. This report includes a school summary, a grade by grade report, participation levels in the Maine Educational Assessments (MEA’s), and a list of teachers and their status under the highly qualified provisions of the NCLB. A three-year cumulative summary is also provided that shows MEA scores in reading and math for the 2005-06 and the 2006-07 MEA testing years.
I hope that you find this information useful. The MEA’s are only one measure of a school’s proficiency and I encourage you to ask your teachers how student and overall school success is viewed through other measures. Please contact me if you have further questions about this report card.
If your student receives services for reading through our Title 1 program, I encourage you to contact Kathy Corey, our Title 1 teacher, if you have any questions about that program or your child’s services.
